This Red Fox was third of nine unique creature models that I was appointed to blockout, sculpt and finalize within a 3 month deadline for Project Kamiyama. The most interesting hurdle when dealing with modern animals is both trying to avoid the easy-to-succumb uncanny valley vibes, but also to take into account the sheer volume of haircards that will be necessary to complete the desired look, too! Much like many of my other mammalian models, it's my role to find that sweet spot of a non-skinwrapped game-appropriate model that will compliment haircards.
