Hō-ō | ARK: Survival Ascended Modding

Hō-ō, the Japanese Mythical Phoenix, was the first of nine unique creature models that I was appointed to blockout, sculpt and finalize within a 3 month deadline for Project Kamiyama. Every single feather was individually hand-placed with a modified VDM brush, not just for seamless haircard transition but to also account for any potential loading issues in ARK where the haircards may disappear or not load properly, we wanted Hō-ō to look beautifully detailed even when naked.
